May and June are busy months, get ready for some serious action and lots of amazing events.

Congratulations to all 43 students who have accepted their membership in the National Honor Society this year! NHS is dedicated to service, leadership, scholarship, and character; students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and join the campus tutoring team in order to keep their membership active. New members will be inducted during our upcoming school Mass.

Students need to be sure they have completed their service hours for the year. Please check with Mrs. Reeder to see how many student service hours you have. Some ideas, volunteer for tutoring programs, help out at your local church ( distributing food, youth group), Campus clean up, Beach clean ups, church carnivals, volunteer for marathons, etc.) You are responsible to complete 25 hours before the end of the year.

Early this week our Seniors were on retreat in Santa Barbara. Their Retreat focused on the footprints we walk in life and the footprints we leave in the lives of others. The Seniors really took a look at thier journey's in life and also had the opportunity to bond as a class.

In early March the Juniors went on their retreat,which focused on transitions in life. They were at St. Andrew's Abbey in Valyermo and had a great time. This exprience really gave them the opportunity to grow closer as a group and reflect on so many things.

Re-Registration packets have been mailed for current Freshmen through Juniors for the 2009-2010 school year. Deadline is April 22nd. Click for more information.

Remember guys, if you will soon be turning 18, or if you are currently 18 but haven't done so yet, you MUST register with the Selective Service!

Six St. Anthony High School students were honored Saturday, March 14th, at Khoury’s Restaurant in Long Beach at graduation ceremonies for the 2009 Youth Leadership Long Beach Program. Graduates include sophomore student Lauren Siaumau and junior students RJ Delacruz, Natassaja Dolgorouky, Ryan Feltz, Luz Gonzalez, and Breanna Panaguiton.



Congratulations to these students on the successful completion of this prestigious leadership development program for youth throughout the City of Long Beach.
