On Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 2:30pm, St. Anthony High School will open its doors to the community for Open House. Upon arrival, every guest will be welcomed by Principal Mike Schabert and President Gina Maguire and will receive a tour of the campus led by student ambassadors.
St. Anthony High School’s Open House provides opportunities for all visitors, including prospective students and their families, to speak with current St. Anthony High School students, meet teachers in every department, learn about the school’s 95 year history and traditions, and enjoy refreshments in the Courtyard with other guests, faculty and staff.
This year’s Open House is unique as visitors will be introduced to St. Anthony High School’s new, exciting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) curriculum that includes fashion design, journalism, robotics and film production. This coursework is enabled by St. Anthony High School’s newly remodeled Science Building facilities which include a Multi-Media Lab equipped with Mac desktop computers with current design and film editing software, a Technology Lab, which will host film production and robotics programs, and three science labs for biology, chemistry and physics.
In addition, presentations will feature use of iPads and technology in the classroom, as all St. Anthony students are issued an iPad on admission to enhance student learning and preparation for college.
The main entrance to the school is located in Shea Hall at 620 Olive Avenue on the corner of 6th Street and Olive Avenue in Long Beach.
