The RETHiNK HOME Contest is a competition organized by the California State University Long Beach Bateman team in partnership with HomeMatters, and local affiliates LINC housing and Housing Long Beach. According to RETHiNK HOME, this contest is part of an effort “to raise awareness of the importance of home in America as part of the national Bateman case study competition”.
Students were invited to submit an essay/short story, a song, poem, photograph or drawing to express their interpretation of home today. The winner of the contest will be determined by the number of “likes” a student’s submission receives on RETHiNK HOME’s social media pages. In order for the vote to count, Facebook and Instagram users must also “like” or “follow” the RETHiNK HOME page or account.
