Mr. Brett Minter took four sophomore students, Sierra Hilke-Paterna, Cassandra Majano, Isabella Carbonara, and Mia Garcia, to spend time with the young patients at Miller Children's Hospital.
Isabella and Mia were in the Starlight room playing with a little girl named Emily. She was a shy little girl, but Mia and Isabella played Play-Doh with her, colored Halloween pictures, and made a spider web craft. Isabella also spent some time drawing a picture of the princess from the movie Frozen and gave it to Emily.
Sierra and Cassandra also made some crafts with a lot of the kids in a different playroom. They finished off their day by playing Wii with a little boy. Cassandra gave the boy some competition in the Mario Kart races, and Sierra always made sure he never finished last by making herself always last.
This was another great visit to the hospital for these four sophomore students. They have one more visit before the Christmas Break and have been lucky enough to have scheduled six more visits during the second semester of school.
