Coming out shortly after the release and success of rock opera, "Jesus Christ, Superstar", GODSPELL offered a lighter musical presentation of the Gospel story without losing the seriousness of its meaning. This is the second time GODSPELL will be presented at St. Anthony after it's first very successful run in 1987. Interestingly, former St. Anthony Drama Director, Beverly Shields, who directed the former, has returned to delve into her favorite musical once again in what she calls St. Anthony's "GODSPELL 14".
