• Boston University- University Honors College. Open to students with solid “A” averages who rank in the top 3% of class and have average SAT score of 2184 or ACT of 32. Visit bu.edu/uhc for more info.
• University of Great Falls- FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP. Open to senior students from Catholic high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.25+ and ACT score of 22+ or SAT score of at least 1020. For information, university application and recommendation forms, go to www.ugf.edu.
• Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) “Freedom in Academia” Student Essay Contest- $12,500 in scholarships, including $5,000 scholarship to student with best essay. Open to all college-bound high school seniors. Must write an essay of 800 – 1,000 words. Deadline date is: November 5, 2011. Log on to www.thefire.org for complete rules and application.
• Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program- $25,000 per year, four year merit scholarship towards cost of attending Notre Dame. Students interested MUST have applied via Early Action to Notre Dame by November 1, and submit scholarship app by November 15. For link to online application, see www.hesburgh-yusko.org.
• Seattle University Sullivan Leadership Award- FULL four-year scholarship. Eligible students will have demonstrated leadership in school activities, public service and community involvement, along with commitment to social justice and good of others through service, effective oral and written communication skills, have taken a demanding course selection and achieved strong academic success with a GPA of 3.5+. Award application and admissions application due by: November 15, 2011.

• Boston University Trustee Scholarship Competition- FULL four-year scholarship to BU. Deadline date: December 1, 2011. For more info: www.bu.edu/admissions/trustee.
• Colgate-Palmolive “Make the U” Scholarship Program- $2,500 - $15,000 grants. Log on to: www.colgate.com/hazlu and follow application process to submit 3 short essays of 500 words or less on selection of topics. Applications accepted until December 31, 2011.
• St. Michael’s College Edmundite Scholarship- $20,000 toward tuition costs. Must be a graduate from a Catholic High School, be admitted to St. Michael’s College, enrolled full-time and maintain a GPA of 2.0+. Application for admission must be received by February 1, 2012.
• The Christermon Foundation Beverage Industry College Scholarship Program- Applicants MUST be affiliated with the California licensed beverage industry through a parent or grandparent’s current full-time employment with a company holding a valid liquor, beer or wine license. Visit www.christermon.com for info and application, which is due by February 1, 2012.
• Mahatma Rice/Univision Radio Scholarship Program- $2,000 CASH award. Entry forms may be downloaded from www.mahatmarice.com/scholarship. Postmark deadline is February 15, 2012.
• Sons of Italy Western Foundation Scholarships- Applicants MUST be wholly or partially of Italian descent and MUST be enrolled in an accredited trade school, college, university or community college for fall of 2012. Applications available through high school counselor or online at: www.sonsofitalyca.org. Deadline for all applications is March 1, 2012.
• The College of Idaho’s Visionary Scholars Program- $10,000 annual, renewable scholarship. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 through seven semesters of high school, minimum ACT composite score of 22 or SAT score of at least 1030, be a resident of California, Colorado, Hawaii, or New England, complete an application and be accepted to College of Idaho, and write a 500 word essay describing how attending C of I will help you achieve your vision.
